My husband and I haven’t started TTC yet, but I am terrified of infertility. I didn’t know about that scene, and it hit me hard (in fact, I’m crying now, just thinking about it) - it was very well done and it just blind-sided me.

I totally relate! My husband and I were quite young when we started seeing each other (15 and 17) and it seemed there was always someone saying “Just wait until…” until the second year, until five years, until you “grow up”, until you get married, until until until…

We will be celebrating 10 years together next february (3 of them married) and still going strong

I know this is a really old post, but I’m reading your blog from the beginning and I just had to remark on this post!

Thank you Matt, for being a proud male feminist! We need more like you. I cannot describe the pride and happiness I felt when my husband told me the following:

At his place of work, a female co-worker made a remark about “girl” push-ups v. “boy” push-ups. My husband said something about that being a sexist way to frame it and she should instead call “girl” push-ups “modified” push-ups. She rolled her eyes and said “Oh boy, don’t tell me your a…” and he cut her off and said “Damn straight I’m a feminist!”

We need more men around the world to embrace the basic tenets of feminism and be proud to proclaim themselves as proponents of such. Thanks again!

Oh so sad! My son had a very similar fall with stitches over his eye just like that when he was 10 mo old. Nothing to cause you more stress and feelings of bad parental skills than holding your child down while they get stitches.

Looks like her favorite thing about that game is you yelling YES! Not surprising, I suppose, who doesn’t like to be told yes.
I have a toddler myself and there’s nothing like the gleeful joy they bring to the simplest games. I’ll miss this stage when it’s over.
